Assisted Living

Assisted living in a Charlotte home with six residents

When a parent starts needing help with medications, meals or nights, family members often cover more and more until the schedule stops working. House of Peace offers long-term assisted living in a licensed family care home in Charlotte, NC, where a Resident Ambassador is awake on every shift and no more than six residents share the household, so your parent has help at any hour and your visits go back to being visits.

Who assisted living at House of Peace is for

House of Peace is a good match for older adults who walk on their own or with a cane or walker and need daily help with personal care, medications or reminders. It is not the right setting for someone who uses a wheelchair full time, needs bed-level or skilled nursing care, or needs a secured setting for advanced memory loss.

Daily rhythm

A day at House of Peace

Every resident keeps their own routine. A typical day looks something like this.

Morning

Residents wake on their own schedule. A Resident Ambassador helps with dressing and grooming, then breakfast and morning medications.

Midday

Music, garden club, chair yoga or a cooking project, followed by lunch together at the shared table.

Afternoon

Quiet time, visits from family, or an outing to a local spot. Regular visiting hours are 10 AM to 8 PM daily, with additional evening visits by appointment.

Evening

Dinner, a calm activity or a favorite show, and help getting ready for bed. A Resident Ambassador stays awake through the night.

Rooms residents make their own

Each spacious room comes furnished with a bed, dresser, mirror, nightstand, lamp and chair, with two closets and several windows for natural light. Residents are welcome to bring their own furniture, photos and keepsakes. Rooms share the home’s four bathrooms, and every room has step-free access.

Payment and Reimbursement

House of Peace is a private-pay assisted living home. We do not bill long-term care insurance or veterans benefits directly.

Families who have eligible long-term care insurance coverage or veterans benefits may qualify for reimbursement, depending on their individual policy or benefit requirements. Our team can help families with the paperwork needed to submit a reimbursement request.

Reimbursement is determined by the insurance provider or benefits program and is not guaranteed.
